Workbench Design

As a young florist I went to see Gregor Lersch and was so inspired by his garden style, flowers and textural foliage that were growing like in a garden world that he created. It appealed to my strong knowledge of principles of design and my creative artist eye.
I loved using the unexpected with veges and fruits, plants and bulbs – all different mediums with similar textures and colour tones.
Then I mix it up with my love of seeing beauty in what were once thrown out retro items that I have collected for years.
I love re using old interesting items, like the work bench was only $1 on trade me.
This was such a joy to create!

Baby Bath Florals

My present design is a reflection of my business model now. Amazing hand selected blooms from the best NZ growers.
I buy in colour stories so everything works together. My love of textures and interesting beautiful seasonal blooms shines.
My little flower van in Remuera sells them in bunches. My aim is always to inspire my regulars so they can create their own beauty at home.
I use these old retro baby baths all the time for my flowers.

3. Please explain your concept/thoughts behind your ‘future’ design installation:

Wildflower Arrangment

My wild flower future design is me thinking about the next phase in my passionate journey with flowers.
I would like to create wild flower cottages - a beautiful space for photographers, small workshops and classes and couples to stay amongst the wild flowers.
I guess a retirement plan where I can continue to share my love of flowers and people.
