What does it look like?
Carnations come in both standard and spray varieties. With its layers of frilly petals, Carnations come in a range of colours including variegated shades. A standard carnation consists of one large flower on a stem, whereas the spray varieties have multiple smaller buds branching off the main stem.

How do you look after them?
As with any fresh cut flower: Remove all the foliage below the water level. Cut the stems on a slant with scissors and place them in a clean vase with fresh water and flower food.
