What does it look like?

Both oriental and asiatic lilies have a 5 point petal structure with very prominent stamens. They come in varying bud counts. Oriental lilies are the more perfumed variety whilst asiatics are better known for their colour range.

NZ grown lilies are available all year round.

How do you look after them?

As with any fresh cut flower: Remove all the foliage below the water level. Cut the stems on a slant with scissors and place them in a clean vase with fresh water and flower food.

Remove the centre stamens of lilies when the bud first opens to avoid any pollen dropping and staining the petals, furniture or clothing.
